Skin Tag Treatment

Skin tag treatment removes small, harmless skin growths for cosmetic and comfort purposes.

Skin tag treatment is used to remove small, soft, harmless skin growths that commonly appear on the neck, armpits, eyelids, groin, or under the breasts. Skin tags are usually flesh-colored or slightly darker and are attached to the skin by a small stalk. They are non-cancerous but may be removed for cosmetic reasons or if they cause irritation.

Treatment options include simple outpatient procedures such as cryotherapy (freezing the skin tag), electrocautery (burning with controlled heat), laser removal, or surgical snipping under local anesthesia. These methods are quick, safe, and usually leave minimal scarring when performed properly.

After removal, the area heals within a few days to a week with basic care such as keeping it clean and avoiding irritation. Skin tags may occasionally recur, especially in people prone to them due to friction, obesity, or hormonal factors.
